3. Leadership and changes from The Act.
Leadership
The Next Chapter will have an interesting take on leadership, in its basic form the NC will be ran by two leaders (consuls) who will both have to be voted in after a fixed 3 month term has been finished.
There are 3 different ranks of /ooc leadership within The Chapter.
- Consul
- Honorable Consul
- Prefect
Consul
- Consuls will make executive decisions based upon proposals received from the community.
- Consuls will need to both approve a proposal in order for it to be carried.
- Should a proposal be in dispute between the consuls it is passed to an honourable consul for the tie breaking decision.
- If too many people are unhappy with the decisions being made by the serving consuls then a vote of no confidence may be petitioned, after which an instant re-election would be held.
- Consuls are expected to write a follow up after making a decision upon a proposal to explain how they have reached their conclusion.
Honorable Consul
Honorable consuls are former leaders of past roleplay communities who may be looked upon to offer their experience and wisdom if the event of a tie break were to occur during a consular decision.
They are not directly involved in the decision making of proposals however smart consuls should look to these people for advice.
Prefect
- Prefects are a group of members who have proven their ability to lead in the past.
- Prefects are expected to help mediate the forums and investigate into any issues that may need resolving.
- Every election one prefect will be voted in as a Consul, the other comes from the wider community.
- Members from the wider community are eligible to enter the Prefect group on a few conditions.

- - They have served one successful term as a "wider community" elected consul, this shows they have popular support as well as proven leadership skills.
- The community / prefect ratio is not fulfilled.
